Mental health is a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to contribute to his or her community. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, many people have been

Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. The emotional impact of an unusual or urgent situation depends on the person’s characteristics and experiences, their social and economic circumstances, and the availability of local resources. According to the World Health Organization, around 450 million people currently struggle with mental illness, making it the leading cause of disability worldwide. Here at home, it affects more than 6.7 million of us. One in two Canadians have—or have had—a mental illness by the time they reach 40 years of age.
This is an issue that has become more widely talked about in recent years but still needs to be brought to the light of how it affects everyday life. Whether you have a mental illness or know someone who is affected by it, this campaign is directed towards people who have been impacted by mental health and to let them know that it is okay not to be okay.
